How To Extend Office 2010 Trial Period for 180 days



Users who have downloaded the Office 2010 30-day trial version can easily extend the trial period to 180 days with 3 easy steps. Extending the trial version of Office 2010 requires user need to run an Office command (OSPPREARM) located in “C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform” folder. Running the command will extend the Office 2010 expiration date to 30 days. User can execute this command for a maximum of 5 times. So with this command you can use the Office 2010 for 180 days including the initial 30-day trial.

Steps to extend:
  1. Open the Command Prompt. (To Open the Command Prompt, type CMD in Start menu search  box and hit ENTER key).
  2.  As mentioned earlier, user need to run OSPPREARM tool from command prompt. Type the following path fully in Command Prompt “C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform\OSPPREARM.exe” and hit ENTER key.
  3. Exit from Command Prompt 
User can use this command for a maximum of five times
